Welcome To The Jam Factory Studios.

After close to three decades, we have decided to indefinitely close The Jam Factory rehearsal rooms and recording studio to focus on other projects.

In the past 27 years we have been proud to have seen an extraordinary amount of talent pass through our doors, with the bands and artists using our facilities and the students who have studied here.

The very first band, 'beresford' rehearsed here in 1997 and since then we have hosted literally hundreds of bands and artists, making music and memories.

We have enhanced lives through our partnerships with education providers, notably 'Access to Music', who, called the 'jammo' home for nearly 20 years. We created a college environment that appealled to those that would otherwise have left learning completely and the courses, run by Jane Humphreys and Charlie Daykin inspired hundreds of young people.

We have won multiple awards for work in the community and become a cornerstone of the york music scene but mainly we are happy to have met and known so many brilliant people and been present to witness so much talent, potential and passion over the years.

It has always been the plan and now it is time to move the business onto a different path. we have a young family and as much as we love the music scene (and miss the parties) its time to stand down.

We would like to thank everyone who has jammed with us over the years and we hope you keep on making and enjoying music.

We have started the new year with a bang, hosting CBBC for a segment on their 'Deadly Mission Shark' programme.

Our partnership with Tang Hall Smart is yielding great results as evidenced by the recent showcase gig at the Barbican and we are proud of all our musicians.

In light of the recent cost increases in everything we are putting our rehearsal prices up slightly.We are always very conscious of being affordable to our musicians though so have kept this to a minimum.
